Michele White

Michele White is an award-winning journalist. She currently writes articles and Newsbreaks for Liberty Nation News, appears as a panelist and fills in as host on LNN’s The Conservative 5 political program. Michele’s broadcast journalism experience includes reporting for FOX23 in Tulsa, KWWL in Cedar Rapids, FOX/ABC Alaska, and KTUU from the Matanuska-Susitna Valley, the fastest growing area of Alaska. Michele began her TV reporting career as a reporter for KOMU in Columbia, Missouri, covering the Missouri legislature during the session and consumer stories for the 8 On Your Side segment. Her published work has appeared in  the Castro Valley Forum (San Francisco Bay Area), Alaska Contractor, Alaska Star, Alaska Business Monthly, Alaska Dispatch and Last Frontier Magazine, and under the pseudonym Mikaela LeBlanc for Tulsa Kids magazine.  Michele earned a 2016 Alaska Press Club award for Best Outdoors Story, All Media for her story, Climbing Denali in January, published in Last Frontier Magazine.

Michele earned her Bachelor of Journalism degree from the Missouri School of Journalism. Some of Michele’s career highlights include reporting breaking news of an avalanche live from a mountain, using only her cell phone; earning the exclusive interview with the governor of Alaska during the litigation of a petition to recall him – which went all the way to the Alaska Supreme Court; working on a sex trafficking investigation that aired as an hour-long newscast special, and investigating a mayoral candidate in Cedar Rapids who didn’t pay her taxes for three years, and incurred judgments and liens spanning 10 years in three states. The local newspaper credited Michele’s reporting of the story.

Fluent in French, Michele interviewed a member of the French National Assembly, who helped author the controversial About-Picard law that threatened religious freedom in France. Michele wrote about the bill for WORLD magazine as it swiftly passed the National Assembly and received international criticism. 

Michele was awarded the 2020 Miss Alaska for America Woman of Achievement Award. She held the title of Miss Iowa for America 2021 and competed for the national title of Miss for America 2022. During her reign as Miss Iowa for America, Michele read books to children at community events; promoted her platform Love Yourself First as a speaker at the Julien Dubuque International Film Festival, and on the radio; and helped with relief efforts after a tornado devastated Western Kentucky in December, 2021.
